How do I know if my client needs IOP?
Our in-depth screening and assessment process helps get your patients into the right level of care for their current condition
Under the circumstances listed below, we will provide a referral to the appropriate care team
- Active substance use or the need for detox or SUD services
- Experiencing active psychosis
- Experiencing high risk suicidal thoughts or behavior requiring after hours monitoring
- Having a history of violence against others or poses a threat to the group
- Not medically cleared for moderate exercise activity
Risk Factors
When a client poses a risk to themselves or others and does not require 24 hour safety monitoring
Daily Functioning
If a person's mental health condition is seriously impacting their daily life they may need IOP
Relationships
A person experiencing conflict in their relationships, isolation, or trouble engaging socially
Treatment Resistance
Past difficulty with treatment including institutional or medical trauma and complex treatment needs
